Expanding our Summer Education Programme

The UWC Atlantic Experience Team here at UWC Atlantic has been working busily behind the scenes to develop a range of summer education programmes for 12-17-year-olds for summer 2021.

We are pleased to have introduced two programmes over the past few weeks including the highly anticipated Global Leadership Experience (GLE) for 16-18 year olds and the inaugural Adventure Leadership Experience (ALE) for 12-17 year olds.

Global Leadership Experience (GLE)

The Global Leadership Experience (GLE) brings together passionate and aspirational 16-18-year-olds from all around the world to explore the challenges shaping your planet and our future. All this while taking you on a journey towards becoming the changemakers and innovators to address these challenges.

Working in partnership with Atlantic School for Young Leaders, there are a limited number of funded places available for GLE. To find out more visit Atlantic School for Young Leaders.

The application process for both the fee paying and scholarship routes are very competitive so if you are thinking of applying we recommend you do so soon. Applications close 31st March 2021.

Adventure Leadership Experience

The Adventure Leadership Experience (ALE) brings together 12-17 year olds with a shared passion for adventure and challenge, looking to explore and develop the skills required by aspiring leaders through a range of adventurous learning opportunities.

When signing up to the Adventure Leadership Experience (ALE) you can choose from 1 of 2 dates, or if you love the sound of the programme that much, why not sign up for the 2 weeks? We will tailor the programme to offer you new locations and adventures to ensure you get the most out of ALE.

Unlike our other summer programmes, ALE can be booked without any assessment of ability or person specification, although we do recommend for this thrill-seeking programme that you have a passion for outdoor adventure and personal challenge.

Apply Now, Pay Later

We understand there is still plenty of uncertainty around travel restrictions this summer. You may want to attend but don’t know if restrictions will allow, but equally, you don’t want to miss out on the opportunity by not applying. We’ve tried to make things simple and as flexible as possible. That is why when you book one of our summer education programmes at UWC Atlantic College, your place on the programme will be reserved without any financial commitment until invoices are sent in May 2021, when we will better understand how the summer may look.
